MapChat menu and ‘Social Map’ screen
PRLog – Nov. 12, 2014 – SEOUL, South Korea — Made by mobile application venture Windorado (CEO, Charles Jo – www.windorado.net) MapChat will give you the ability to talk and share the world around you on the map. Add pictures, share videos and add comments on the map to create your own space, which then gives others the opportunity to interact.
MapChat gives users a new way of communicating with each other using Google Maps as a platform.Compared to other services, memories that you share within the app are much easier to find and stored much longer on MapChat.
MapChat is a more visual representation of the usual timelines we are used to see in Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can leave so-called footprints (Video/Pictures/ Text) at your location and these are then visible to others. Instead of seeing things chronologically like we do on our timelines.
The ability to see who is using the app around you on the map makes it also possible to talk and interact with other people you might not even know.
Real time conversations as well as the ability to easily share your locations and manage your appointments are just some of the eye catching features. You can conveniently select your locations on the map, share content with friends or even share your appointments. Of course the app lets you set your own privacy settings to give you the option to decide what you want to share on the map.
You are able to see your surroundings on the map, talk with friends and let them follow you on what you do on the map. What is there happening around me? A variety of things you might not have known about are taking place around you and with MapChat you can be part of it!
In the news some people have already shown their enthusiasm
“Now this is really a SNS service done the right way.”
”To be able to see old memories is great.”
“Very different from Facebook or KakaoStory, I wonder what will get bigger in the future.”
A variety of reactions which shows the interest in the service.
CEO of Windorado, Charles Jo; “To utilize Google Maps as a means of your own space on the internet to manage contacts surpasses the ideas behind SNS 1.0 and SNS 2.0, we have entered the era of SNS 3.0″.
MapChat has also recently opened up a campaign on Indiegogo at igg.me/at/mapchat
MapChat is now available in the Google Play store (ow.ly/DM1lf) and by the end of the year for the iPhone in the Apple Appstore.
